What do you look for in a potential mate? Maybe you aren't at a point in your life where marriage is a consideration but I suppose we all enjoy some level of companionship from time to time. For me...the main quality is intelligence. An intelligent man is usually a well rounded man. A man with intelligence usually has the ability to prioritize...he doesnt usually live a mud hut with a $60k car...he usually enjoys reading different subjects such as investments and DIY....he usually knows how to treat a LADY (some know they just dont do it). Last but absolutely not least....as a matter of fact, it is the most important....he can hold an interesting conversation. I like a clever man.

For me...intelligence is very important because it is a blanket characteristic. Not a guarantee but it is a great place to begin.

Well, be careful with too much reliant on intelligence. A man with too much brain is too dangerous! A man with too much smartness would cheat and know how to cover the track very well.Such a man can make you believe almost anything. What I would look for in a relationship would be true love, understanding , and trust. The rest inadequacies would take care of themselves.

What does Intelligence got to do with marriage?  My parents only signed their names using thumb and ink blotter, yet they raised me and my siblings so well, that four of us are in the US and are gainfully employed today.

What happened to common sense?  No wonder so many women are single today   Huh?

Yes, I'm back after a long hiatus. No I wasn't in jail. I was conducting a research project in LI, NY.

even though I am a woman, I find some women don't have common sense.  Just recently, a friend of mines made the silliest mistake, even though she don;t see it as a mistake.

she left a man who was treating her like a queen and taking care of her 4 children (none belong to him) she left him for another man because she just realized he is ugly.  To me he is an attractive and decent man. She married the other guy and gave him his green card.  Now he is showing his true colors, - a womaniser.  Every time she asked if she can go back home (their country) with him, he keeps giving her sorry excuses.  He has been back home 4 times without her by his side. she goes back home but without him.   Even though they are from the same country, he prefer to travel alone. Oh, did I tell you he is not contributing in paying bills. That says a lot to me, but she is in denial

She deserves everything she is getting from him!!! If she left one guy for the other because of physical attractions, she deserves worst than she is getting!!! More so, when the left guy was treating her like a queen !!She will see the light at the end of the tunnel.
