Hi

I'm doing 6 miles a day on a bad day and 9-10 on a good day. Some people have been saying this might "burn me out." So far, I've been doing this for about 10 days, one day I didn't eat right and I did feel burned out, the other days, I was fine.

How soon does it take for someone to figure out that the workout they have scheduled is too much for them? Right now, my schedule feels fine. I actually feel like going twice sometimes, not that it happens, but the feeling is there. haha

Thanks
Have  a nice time ahead.

The weather usually reduces the miles I walk. In the summer I try to walk about 1-2 miles a day but in the winter, I probably only walk about a half-a-mile. I guess I could do jumping jacks and other exercises to make up for the lack of walking. I've never been good at running because I have asthma and I usually start wheezing from running.

Hello friends

Our bodies are designed to walk without exerting much energy. Unless you are walking at a brisk pace (4mph +) you are not going to get the least bit "fit". It also depends on what your definition of "fit" is. When I think fit in this situation I think in shape cardiovascularly. While walking 10,000 steps a day may SLOWLY lower your weight you will not become fit (in shape).
i think just about half a mile in the morning and the evning would give you a heathy exercise

Thanks for all friends
