What are your responsibilities to your nation? And if you know what your responsibilities are, do you put them into practice? This question has piqued my inquisitive mind for a while. In Nigeria, we tend to blame all problems on the government of the day.If some people cannot have baby, they would blame it on the government. This is not to exonerate the mistakes of the past leaders in Nigeria, they are part of the problems, but not all the problems.
Talking about our National responsibilities,we have many Nigerians who neither obey nor respect the laws of the land.We want to have it our ways most of the time.We complain so much about corruptions, yet most Nigerians are participants in the giving of bribery. We always look for short cuts, instead of following the "right" cuts.
Look at our traffic rules and regulations, how many Nigerians can swear that they follow a single traffic rule? Everyone drives the way they want to drive.Traffic rules are just there for nothing! When there is a traffic hold ups, that's when the worst driving in us comes up.Most drivers drive as if they 've had a whole bottle of liquor before getting behind the wheel. We complain about sanitation conditions, yet most of us are guilty of not following the right sanitation rules. We throw out anything any where! Look at the streets and see how much dirt you see around .Or is it the responsibility of the government to pick up after you? Walk about two blocks from you,do you see anyone flipping out their "thing" to empty their bladder? That's part of the problem! The toilets are there to empty your bladders and not side of the walls!
We complain so much about blackouts, but how about those who just climbs the electric poles to connect the power they are not paying for? Sometimes, we contribute immensely to our discomforts. We hate to cue or be in line for anything.Nigerians, we are bunch that just wants it and wants it now.Maybe, if all of us can think  of what our responsibilities are in an orderly society, and follow those responsibilities,we would be able to solve some of our problems. We must first improve and better ourselves before we can succeed to change a Nation! Having said all these,
i still love Naija and would never trade for any nation in the world.  Naija for life!!!!!
