There are two major types of scholarships: Full and Partial Scholarships. Scholarships are issued by Governments, organizations and individuals. With hundreds of scholarships awarded yearly by various bodies, why do most people find it difficult securing any?
Although scholarship application procedures vary, I have found a common trait which if stuck to would give you an 80% chance of securing a scholarship. They are listed below:

(a). Search: this is the first step. Search vigorously through different sources to secure scholarship application forms for available scholarships.

(b). Network: there’s no harm in asking questions. Ask a lot of questions from people about available scholarships they may know of. Perhaps they will know some or know someone that knows.

(c). Apply: indicate your interest in a scholarship by applying early. Remember, ‘the early birds eat the fattest worms’ and how else would the awarding body know that you are serious and determined?

(d). Legal Documents: back your scholarship application strongly by sending notarized copies of your original certificates even if you were not asked to do that. It makes your submitted certificates stand out.

(e). Detailed CV:  Send also a detailed CV along with your application where required. Do not leave the awarding body guessing about your CV.

(g). Notable Referees: include the names of only notable persons with whom you have initially discussed your scholarship application with as your referees. Endeavour to update them on any action you take pertaining the scholarship. It is not very difficult to get a notable person in your environment to be your referee. Approach them persistently with the copies of your application forms. With perseverance on your own part, they’ll act as your referee.

(f). Maintain Online Contact: after submitting your scholarship application form, maintain steady online contact with the awarding bodies’ websites. This will enable you know when valuable information regarding the application is released on the site. Be on the watch out.

(h). Have faith: you need to have ‘success’ at the back of your mind while applying. Believe that you have already been awarded the scholarship if you really want it awarded to you. Nature works that way.

Hello friends

Scholarships are tricky things. Everyone wants one. Few people get them. Apparently, there are millions out there that go unused on an annual basis. Because scholarships differ from loans in that they are free money, they are coveted beautiful things. They are also brilliant resume boosters and look fantastic on any resume.
Now, there are so many types of scholarships, it helps to be abreast of the types, time ranges, amounts, and places to find them. Some high schools give away scholarships prior to attending college. Some scholarships are merit based, others need based, others interest based, other cultural based. The list goes on.
The best way to begin seeking scholarships is to do your research. Every college and university will have a dowry with various scholarships. Usually they will be listed on the school's website; however, you can always inquire as to their prevalence. When you learn about them, you can find out how much, many, and reasons behind them. Essentially, scholarships don't usually just get handed to you (although some lucky people do find this fortuitous world). You must do your research.

Thanks for all friends
