In previous blog, I read an insert from a young individual who had engaged in on-lie dating. Lade made the comment that many African women are impressed by flashy cars. As men, how does that concept make you feel? Being a woman I have never encountered this treatment. Have you ever dated someone only to find that their hand was in your wallet? If I were a man this would disturb me and I think I might be repulsed by individuals who display these tendencies. I might ask the woman if she loves the expensive toys of the wealthy... what is she doing toward obtaining those toys on her own accord. I love being a woman. I enjoy the comforts of being cared for by a special someone but I would never refuse someone based solely on their abnility to obtain toys.

In Nigeria, money talks!! And I think this is so in many part of the world. Women would rather be with someone who is well to do than not. When the money is gone, they are gone too!!!Many would tell you that they fall in love for the real love and not for any extra ordinary reasons, that may be true for those who marry people with no wealth. But, majority of the people that marry into wealth do so for the reason that the wealth is there.I will most likely believe someone who falls in love with a person with no wealth, that is done on pure love, than one who falls in love with one that has the wealth already.Let's face it no one wants to suffer!!!
This also happens in dating!! If a man post on a dating site that he is a millionaire looking for love,he will surely get a million respond than one who posted that he is broke and has no money!!It is just a fact of life. This is part of why many relationship falls by the way side, loving for the wrong reason(s).This is not to bedevil women, this also goes for men!!!

Some Nigerian men are ENABLERS.  They know that the way to the woman's honey is to impress her with all that flashy junks. I know that most of the flashy cars are not OWNED by the guys. They "rent/borrowed" these flashy cars.

I, for one, do not subscribe to the norm. If I get a date, I'll meet her in my old beat up jalopy. If she isn't impressed, then we both lost! No one wins... Grin

Well said Agadi!!!! I called these men pretender of the highest illusion!!! And if a woman love ya for the material things, you know she will definitely vacate your "love" circle once there is someone with a deeper pocket!!

Thank you lade.  I've seen it all the time. Even some Nigerian guys and gals over here.  When I meet one female who is not a gold digger, I will try and settle unless she can see beyond my old jalopy.

I have an incredible amount of discourse and lack of RESPECT for gold diggers whether man or woman. Especially for those who are willing to give up the "honey" (lol thank you Agadi) to anyone willing to pay. I suppose I just believe strongly that my honey is special and of course to precious to be bought! Not for any price. I would rather eat only yams and beans day in and day out to be with a man that makes me happy than to have a life where I am commited to someone whom I dont even care to get to know.

Well said Brigafor!

I've been told that these gold diggers' "honey" had been tapped by swarm of bees for hundred of stretched miles !  Shocked lol.

And I was also told that if you look closely at the "sticks" of the male gold diggers, you would see the sticks have a distinct raw texture like elephant skin... Grin. Go figure...
