True love is when you put your partner's interests above your own. It is when you will do anything the see them happy, even things that may go against what you believe. It is called sacrifice and true love is nothing without it.

How I did it: I was already in a long term relationship with another guy, living with him and picking out my engagement ring, when I met the *actual* true love of my life on accident, and online. It took me a year of silly mistakes (one involving a day long move across the country....yes, one day. That was an expensive mistake.) to realize who I was really meant to be with. I dumped guy #1 and am now in a long distance relationship with guy #2 who lives 2,000 miles away and have never been happier or more in love in my life. As soon as I earn my degree I am moving to be with him.

I lived my life the best I knew how. At the highest vibration possible. When I was ready I attracted the right person into my space. There were definitely mistakes along the way. When I felt lonely I sought out companionship, and that filled the space. When the right person happened in my life the people who had been in that space were displaced, and it hurt them.
